St John Fisher: Our Vision

At St John Fisher, we strive to create a school community where children and adults achieve their full potential and SHINE! We will achieve this through engagement, high expectations and by treating all with respect and dignity.

  • We provide a creative and inspiring curriculum with opportunities for visitors and first hand experiences
  • We value independence, developing a deeper level of learning and providing a challenging curriculum which enables our pupils to become active citizens of the future.

As you will be aware, a new National Curriculum was brought into all primary schools from the beginning of 2014. This has meant some large changes to the content of subjects taught and how your child will be assessed. Below is a guide to give you some support about these changes and how you can best support your child through their Primary school years.

Please click on the links on the Curriculum tab to give you more information about each subject in ‘Curriculum Maps’. The year group Overviews below will give you
