Meet Our Shining Lights

Year 2

I am Jude and I am kind and caring. I like to help people and look after them if they are upset. I have good manners and I like to smile. I want to help the children in our school SHINE.

Year 3

I am Iyla and I am looking forward to helping visitors by showing them around the school. I am also looking forward to having meetings about our school.

I promise to be a good role model and I feel confident that I will be able to get my class to talk about their problems. I will treat everybody with RESPECT and I will try to help people in my class.

Year 4

I am Harley. I am proud to have been voted a ‘Shining Light’ by my class mates in Year 4. I will dedicate my time and effort to making my school SHINE. I will make sure that I always listen to what other people say and I will help them when I can. I will respect my peers and the adults around school.

To be a ‘Shining Light’ is a huge responsibility, I am pleased to have been chosen because I will be a perfect role model for the children in school and I am prepared to speak to visitors or on stage in front of people. I will make sure that our school is tidy and that any rubbish on the floor is picked up.

Zoe

Year 5

I am an eager to represent our school and am honoured to have been chosen by my class. I am willing to give up my time to help other students and adults in the school. I can absorb ideas to share with my class but I can also come up with my own ideas. I believe in the light because I am a child of the light and I look forward to setting a good example for other children.

I am kind, trustworthy and approachable and I’m a good team player. I like to support others whenever I can. I am approachable when you need me, I am there, I will listen and I will help you. My skills include being organised and I have fantastic communication skills. I love to organise my homework, bedroom and tray in school to make sure I know where everything is.

Daniella

Year 6

I am looking forward to being a ‘Shining Light’ because I enjoy looking after people and looking out for them. I am thoughtful, funny and get on with people easily. I always try my hardest when completing work and I enjoy new challenges.

I would like to thank Year for voting for me to be a ‘Shining Light’, I am polite, confident and hardworking. I would like to make a difference in school to make it even better than it already is. As this is my last year at ST John Fisher I want to make it a year to remember for my classmates and myself.
