Open Afternoon and Reports
You will soon receive your children’s end of year reports, which will give you information about their attainment, progress and efforts this year. Following this, we will hold an Open Afternoon on Monday 11th July between 2.30pm and 5pm. On this afternoon, you are welcome to come along to school and view your child’s books from across the year and chat to their teacher about their progress or about their report. You do not need to make an appointment but children will be required to be collected at 2.30pm. After school club will run as usual.
This term, Y5 and Y6 will be learning about changes and puberty with the school health team. As part of their session, they will watch the School Health Service’s DVD about puberty. There will be an opportunity for parents of Y5/6 pupils to watch the DVD with the school nurse before the children view it, on Friday, 8th July at approx. 2.30pm.
Please let school know if you would like to view the DVD.
All of Y5 and any Y6 pupils starting St Edmund Arrowsmith in September will attend a taster day on Wednesday, 6th July. Children should come to school as normal on this day and they will be taken by coach. They will return by home-time. This will be a great opportunity for our children to visit our feeder secondary school.
The NSPCC will be visiting our school on 4th July to talk to our children about keeping themselves safe. All children will join an assembly and Y5 and Y6 will take part in class workshops.
On Friday, 1st July, school will be closed for a staff training day. Breakfast club and After school club will not run on this day.
