Peer Reviews

St John Fisher: Our Vision

At St John Fisher, we strive to create a school community where children and adults achieve their full potential and SHINE! We will achieve this through engagement, high expectations and by treating all with respect and dignity.

As a school, we at St John Fisher are passionate about fulfilling our vision to enable everyone in our community to reach their potential and Shine.

One way we can achieve this is by continually quality assuring the work we do at all levels through peer review and this year, we have worked with NAHT Aspire through Edison Learning, Challenge Partners and the NGA (National Governance Association).

Local Peer Review

We are part of the Southern Area Schools (SAS) Network in Knowsley.  This is a cluster of 13 schools who work closely together and use peer review to collaborate and support each other in order to achieve the highest outcomes for children in our schools through.  In September 2019, we worked with 3 schools (St Lukes Catholic Primary School Whiston, Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Halewood and St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Primary School, Halewood) to conduct peer reviews. The outcomes of these not only helped our own schools move forward but also gave us strategic aims for the SAS as a whole.

Challenge Partner Peer Review

We  work with schools across the country, sharing excellent practice, taking part in peer review and joining programmes grounded in evidence of what works, so that all pupils can benefit from the combined wisdom of the system, and of other sectors.

Schools are organised into local hubs, ours is the Aspire Hub, working together to secure improvements and continuing professional development on shared priorities. We link with hubs around the country, who play a crucial role in facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing between schools.
