Year 5 Class Right: Health, Water, Food and Environment

Children have the right to the best health care possible, clean water to drink, healthy food and a safe environment to live in.

Welcome to Year 5

We are super excited to accompany you on your Year 5 learning journey; we are particularly looking forward to getting to know your different personalities and seeing how you SHINE in a variety of ways.

Year 5 Team

Mrs Monaghan

I am really looking forward to getting to know you all this year and watching you develop into creative and original writers. I look forward to delving into a range of different novels and short stories and together we can go on an adventure with the characters. I am particularly looking forward to teaching you English, Maths, Geography, History, Art and Design and Design Technology.

Mr Brooks

It is a pleasure to be your Year 5 teacher, I am particularly looking forward to getting to know each of your personalities, your strengths and areas for improvement. The best reward for me is watching children’s confidence grow and I am particularly looking forward to teaching you Maths, English, Come and See, Computing, Music and PE.

Mrs Baker

I am super excited to be your Year 5 TA. I am in the lucky position that I will be able to get to know you individually as we read together and work in small groups to work on your targets. Just like you I have a passion for learning things.

Mr Bates

I am looking forward to teaching you science again this year. We will have lots of practical science investigations in our lessons and there will be lots of opportunities to develop your questioning skills.
