We are closing for the Spring half term break on Friday, 1st April at 1.30pm.  After school club will not be running on this day.

We return to school on Wednesday, 13th April at 8.55am to begin the Summer Term.

The message from Ofsted for pupils to give their views is below:

Ofsted is inspecting your school and would like to hear your views. You can do this by completing an online pupil questionnaire at the following link:

Your views are really important to us and will help inspectors understand your experience of school. The questionnaire will close at 11am on 30 March 2016 to give the inspector time to look at the results. The questionnaires work in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 11, and on mobiles and tablets, when you copy and paste the link into the browser.

We do not ask for your name, so you will not be identified from the responses you make.

Our School Nurse, Mrs Armstrong will be holding a drop-in session for parents on Thursday, 31st March between 9 and 10am.  Please do call in with any questions or concerns.  No need to book an appointment.

Children are invited to join in our Easter events on Thursday, 24th March.

Reception/ Y1/Y2– Design and wear your Easter Bonnet. Parents in Rec/ Y1/ Y2 are welcome to join us in the school hall at 9.15am for their Easter Parade. (Please note- Junior children are not involved in this event)

Y3/ Y4/ Y5/ Y6– Design an Easter Card.  Children in these year groups are invited to design an Easter card.  This could be showing the message of Easter or one full of bunnies, chicks and eggs…It’s their choice!

PTA Bingo– the PTA are providing an Easter bingo in school for all children during the day. We would ask that children bring in £1 to play (£2 per family).

Easter eggs to be won throughout the day!

Our PTA are running an Easter Bingo for the children in school on Thursday, 24th March.  Children should bring £1 in each or £2 for the whole family to be in with a chance of winning some delicious Easter eggs, donated by our PTA.

Join us on Wednesday, 23rd March as the children tell us all about Holy Week in St John Fisher Church.  The service will begin at 2pm and will involve children from Y2 to Y6.

St Mary’s Church in Knowsley Village have kindly invited our children to join them in their ‘Messy Easter’ event on 21st and 22nd of March.  They will learn all about the importance of the Easter story and make new friends with the children of Knowsley Village School who will also be there. 

This term, we are running a Family Learning course, ‘Speakeasy’.  This 8 week course gives advice, support and strategies for parents and carers as they prepare to talk to their children about growing up, puberty and changes.  All parents/ carers are welcome to join us, regardless of the current age of your child. 

This accredited  course will run from 9am-11am each Wednesday starting 9th March.  

On Friday, 18th March, Year 4 will be celebrating their learning in their Come and See, Giving and Receiving, by performing their assembly for school and parents.

The assembly will being at 2.15pm and parents/ families will be welcome to stay for our weekly awards presentation.

On Friday, 11th March, school is supporting 2 charities.

Bobby Colleran, age 6 was involved in a tragic road traffic accident, outside his school in West Derby, on Friday, 24th October 2014. 

This year, Cafod are raising money through their ‘Make a Splash’ appeal.

To raise money for both of these worthy charities, we are asking children to come in wearing blue clothing or an accessory with their uniform- a blue bobble, tie, socks etc and to bring in a donation.  We suggest £1 for each of the charities.
