Year 4 DT
During the Spring Term, year four read ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ by Michael Morpurgo. They were challenged to design and make a warning system for the citizens of Hamelin town which would give a signal when rats were nearby.
The children explored different electrical systems and used this research to make their own. Many of the circuits did not work first time, meaning the children had to evaluate and consider what was causing the break in the circuit.
Year 2 – Textiles – Superhero Outfit
The children in Year 2 created an outfit for the superhero Traction Man, they thought about the properties of the materials and which would be most suitable for Traction Man.
