Our Worship Warriors have all been selected through an application and interview process. They meet regularly as a group with Mrs Lewis. During the meetings they discuss our school Catholic life and Mission and plan for various activities and acts of Worship. Our Worship Warriors support the school in ensuring that our mission of “Believe in the light, so that you will be children of the light.” is lived by all.
Each term, they plan for the priorities which they will focus on. Some of the things they do include:
- Plan and lead Prayer and Liturgy
- Support in assemblies
- Say Prayers in worship
- Lead and participate in Scripture focus groups
- Plan sessions to deliver to younger children
- Evaluate reflection areas
- Share the Wednesday Word each week
- Share prayers with the children at play times
- Plan how to improve the reflection and prayer areas within the school
We have two groups of Worship Warriors and as well as being responsible for all of the above, they have set jobs which they complete weekly.
Year 3 Worship Warriors
Deliver Wednesday Word to children across the school from Nursery to Year 3.
Support with Children of the Light awards.
Year 4 and 5 Worship Warriors
Take a lead in sharing Scripture and planning and delivering Scripture Workshops across the school.
