Art and Design at SJF
The overarching aim for Art and Design in the national curriculum is to ensure that all pupils produce creative work, explore their ideas and record their experiences. At St John Fisher, we give pupils the opportunity to become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques. They are enabled to evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design. Pupils are taught about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
